As a lover of hand-crafted ales and a desire to create my own product, I decided it was time the Falkland Islands had its own brewery.
So in 2012 Falkland Beerworks was born.
My aim is to produce high quality, natural and consistently first-rate ales using quality ingredients and traditional methods. All with your and my enjoyment in mind.

I have a question: how can I get You beer? May I get it in Europe? Is it possible to send it to Europe? Answer me, please.
March 11, 2016 at 7:39 pm
It is not possible to get my beer in Europe, it is only availible in the Falklands. It costs a lot of money to send overseas.
February 24, 2020 at 11:25 am
Apparently they had some bottles of your beer in The Snug micropub in Carnforth, Lancashire yesterday – and by all accounts it was very well received 👍😊
February 27, 2020 at 1:35 am
I think they must have visited the Falklands on a cruise ship and bought the bottles back with them to the UK.
November 7, 2019 at 11:59 am
We are arriving mid January
Is there anything we can bring you ?
We would be glad to bring you anything you might like from our neck of the world!
We live near Toronto ( my husband is a global beer collector)! Your brewery will be his high lite of a 3 week adventure!
Please let us know!
March 2, 2016 at 10:41 am
Hi Jeff, got your bottle of Rock Hopper from Guy Opperman, looking forward to trying it. Hope you liked our beer.
Good luck with your brewery.
If youre ever over here look me up and come to see our brewery.
Hadrian Border Brewery.
March 11, 2016 at 7:36 pm
Hi Martin, I really enjoyed your beer, loved the maltyness to it.
What did you think of the Rockhopper? Not sure how well it travels, as there could have been a bit of sediment as my bottling system is rather crude.
If I am ever back up in Newcastle I will pay you a visit.
March 6, 2016 at 11:42 pm
We would love to hear from you and get some of your Oatmeal Stout sent to us in New Jersey some day, we had it next door at the cafe & loved it- would love to have family try it also if such a thing is possible! Best to you & and all in Stanley! Sincerely, Linda& Jim Di Giulio Tuckerton NJ, USA
March 11, 2016 at 7:28 pm
Always great to have good feedback from satisfied customers, who were lucky enough to vist the Falkladns. I have sent bottled beer to Hong Kong but it costs a lot in freight. It was £70 for freight but only £10 for the 4 beers. It really is a bit too expencive to send. Sorry.
March 11, 2016 at 6:56 pm
Is there any chance to purchase some of your beers for our social club in England
March 11, 2016 at 7:24 pm
As much as I would love to supply your social club, it would not be possible. I buy nearly all my ingrediants from the UK, and (grain and hops etc), the thought of sending it all the way back in the form of beer, would be good for my proffits but no so good for the environment.
October 5, 2016 at 12:33 pm
Hi! Are you using bottle caps with your name or design? I am a collector in Italy and have no caps from the Falkland (I think my only missing country). Maybe could you post a pic with your caps? Thank you a lot from Bologna, Italy.
October 5, 2016 at 9:57 pm
Hi, The caps that I use are just coloured and do not have any unique identification so they wiukd not make a very exciting adition to your collection.I may change one day but not in any time soon.
October 9, 2016 at 9:42 am
Hi, thank you for reply. I hope that you will use sooner or later some personal bottle caps! Another question… as far as you know was there in the past any soda or beer bottler in the Falkland? Thank you again.
October 19, 2016 at 10:18 pm
Hi there Jeff,
I’m currently in Stanley for Premier Oil & flying out Friday if I have a box of three Rockhopper bottles do they travel well in the hold baggage? Mike M
October 19, 2016 at 11:03 pm
I have taken several to New Zealand in my hold baggage before without any problem.
November 10, 2016 at 9:43 am
Do you sell t-shirts with the Falkland Beerworks logo on them?
November 10, 2016 at 3:27 pm
Yes I do.
November 10, 2016 at 12:54 pm
Hello. is possible to visit the brewery? We are going to the island this weekend. november 12th 2016
November 10, 2016 at 3:30 pm
If I am at the brewry, then you are more than welcome to come a visit. I do not open especially for visits, but I am doing a brew on Saturday morning, so I should be there.
December 6, 2016 at 3:02 am
will you be in the brewery this coming week/weekend ? i am traveling to the islands on Saturday 10th / Dec.
December 9, 2016 at 12:33 am
I have no plans for brewing this weekend, but if I am in please come in. I do not live in the flat above, so plese dont bother the person who does. Thanks.
December 7, 2016 at 6:36 am
Had the pleasure to stop in on the way through to South Georgia the other day. Tried 3 of the beers but really liked the Rock Hopper. Had it on bottle and even better on tap at the Victory. We grabbed a couple cases of stubbys for the boat. However the brewery or Studio52 was not open that day to get a Pint glass or two or a Shirt Any chance of posting those I will pay for the merchandise and posting of course. thanks for thinking about it and I really am a fan of the Rock Hopper. Brendon Lawrence, KS USA. http://www.lawrencebeerco.com/
December 9, 2016 at 12:46 am
Hi Lawrence, I am pleased that you enjoyed the beer, Rock Hopper does seem to be the most popular. We have problems in the Falklands with recieving payments from overseas, Paypal will no longer work and the bank in antiquated. I have recieved payment from the states by the use of telegraphic bank transfer before, but that was for quite a large beer order from a expedition cruise company. It worked but I have no idea what the cost was to them.
January 26, 2017 at 6:25 am
Will you be brewing on 28th February 2017.Im on the cruiseship coming into Stanley.I would love to see the brewery if you are free?
Very pleased you have started a brewery on the Falklands ..Well done!
January 27, 2017 at 12:22 am
No I won’t be, but I can meet you at the brewery during my lunch break between 12 and 1. I have 2 jobs you see the brewery I work in during my free time after normal working hours.
I hope that you enjoy your holiday and that your ship can get in to Stanley.
What is the name of the ship you will be on?
February 10, 2017 at 9:17 pm
We will be stopping on Tuesday 14 Feb in Stanley with our cruise ship ( Celebrity Infinity)
Will you be around/ open for tastings that day?
I have been travelling around South America for the past 3 months, and already tried 110 local beers/ craft beers.
I would love to add Falkland beerworks crafts to my collection!
Hopefully see you on Tuesday.
February 15, 2017 at 2:09 pm
Hi Jeff, unfortunately we were not able to meet you, but went for a pub crawl around Stanley to try your beers! It was home away from home. We ended up trying 4, Longdon Pride, Rockhopper, Black Tarn, and the special Iron Lady. Thanks a lot, and good luck for your future brews!
February 16, 2017 at 9:19 pm
Sorry I wasn’t about on Tuesday. You were lucky to get to try 4 of my beers, you must have had a good look around. The Iron Lady is a new IPA that I have just released, it seems to have been recieved well by all how have tried it. I would be interested to know your opinion of it.
July 26, 2017 at 12:18 pm
Do you consider yourself the southernmost brewery in the world?
July 26, 2017 at 8:49 pm
No I do not. I know of a brewery in Punta Arenas, and I am aware of a brewery in Ushuaia Argentina and Puerto Williams Chile. These 3 towns are just a bit further south than us. However I do consider my brewery as the remotest and with probably the longest supply line as nearly all of my grain and hops come from the UK and can take over 3 months to arrive from date of purchase.
I hope this answers your question.
December 21, 2017 at 4:57 pm
My wife and I will be arriving in Stanley on January 9, 2018 on Emerald Princess from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm. We have a tour from 3:15 to 6:00 but would like to visit your brewery and try some on tap, if this is not possible what bars would have your brews on tap?
December 21, 2017 at 7:40 pm
I am away from the Falklands on holiday so I won’t be there.
The best places to try my beer is at the Victory Bar and Malvina House Hotel. The Vic is a 2 minute walk directly up the hill from where you land and the Malvina is a short enjoyable 10 minute stroll along the waterfront past Studio 52 and the bank opposite the museum.
January 18, 2018 at 8:41 am
Received a selection of your beers for Christmas from my brother (who picked them up on his way home from Antarctica). Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed them, especially the Longdon Pride.
Keep up the good work !

Hello! I am in the Stanley for the next three weeks or so (until March 17th) and I would LOVE to try out the different beers you have (I already tried the Iron Lady at the Vic’ – Really liked it a lot!!). Where could I find the other ones you brew? Thanks!!

At the moment Longdon Pride is on in the Vic, Globe and Malvina and will shortly be replaced with Rockhopper and then Black Tarn. You can get bottles of Rockhopper, Iron Lady and Longdon Pride at Bitter Sweet and The Waterfront Hotel.
I hope this helps, get it while it is there as it doesn’t last very long when the cruise ships are in.
April 28, 2018 at 12:08 pm
Hi, just got back this morning from a week working in the Falklands. We were enjoying your beers all week and were also admiring the bar runner they had on the bar showing the 4 different ales.
I have a home bar back in the UK and would like to display one of those bar runners. Would you be prepared to sell me one and ship the the UK? Happy of course to cover all shipping costs.
Thanks in advance
November 27, 2018 at 9:05 am
Its nice to see the Falklands has its own brew now. I’ll be up at Kent from December and wondered if you’d like any beers bringing from the UK? From one ale man to another 😁
January 2, 2019 at 11:42 pm
Sorry late reply. I always appreciate a new beer i havent tried but probably too late now.
Thanks for the thought.
December 30, 2018 at 1:15 pm
Just booked up to visit the Falklands.
Can you buy your beer in a supermarket in Stanley or just in pubs?
LikeLiked by 1 person
January 2, 2019 at 11:39 pm
At present i do not sell to the supermarkets. I only sell bottled beers in The Waterfront Hotel, Narrows Lounge and Narrows Bar. I sell cask condidtioned beer in The Victory Bar, Globe Tavern and Malvina House hotel. Not all beers are always available at any one time, but if you enjoy drinking something diffent that you can only get here then you can have fun trying all the different places that sell it. You may be lucky and get all six.
Have fun and I hope you enjoy your Falkland experience.
April 18, 2019 at 12:01 pm
I am due to be in Stanley on the 11th of May. As a fellow ale lover I was hopping that you maybe open in the afternoon or evening.
June 20, 2019 at 7:16 pm
I was fortunate to enjoy a tour around your brewery just before I left the Falklands in July last year; your outstanding beers, your passion and attention to detail have made their mark on me and I would like to start brewing when I leave the RAF. You mentioned that you bought your kit from somewhere near Swindon and that you had done a brewing course (3-weeks?) in the UK. Would you send me details of where you did the course and the place you bought your brewing kit please?
July 15, 2019 at 12:02 am
I am pleased that I made a good impression. I got my brewing kit from Elite Stainless Steel, and I did a 3 week certificate in practical brewing in Sunderland i a place called Brewlab.
I hope this helps and good luck with your plans.
July 14, 2019 at 12:03 pm
Tried the Rockhopper in the Malvina House Hotel. I can honestly say the best beer I’ve had in a hotel! Might be a bit of a hike for my next pint though…
July 15, 2019 at 12:03 am
Pleased that you enjoyed a couple of pints while visiting.
Thanks for the good feedback.
August 2, 2019 at 11:10 am
I’m a vet, unfortunately you weren’t in business when I last visited in 2010.
I’d love one of your t-shirts, would you be able to post to the UK? Obviously I would cover any postage.
August 11, 2019 at 7:48 pm
I only went into business in 2011-12, although very limited at that time and had no t-shirts until much later. I can send you some bank details so you can pay, but I would need your email address to pass you the details. Thanks for all your efforts and struggles 37 years ago, you will all never be forgotten in these islands.
August 11, 2019 at 3:35 pm

August 21, 2019 at 4:26 pm
Hi do you do bottled beers? Am on a cruise in January and would love some bottle beers to bring back to the UK…our local pub here holds a beer club where you bring in beers from around the world
August 21, 2019 at 4:34 pm
Yes I do 6 different bottled beers, can be bought individually or in a presentation pack.
New small tasting room should be open when you get here in January, I will see you then.
September 24, 2019 at 9:36 pm
Looking forward to your Tasting Room mid January!
Will the presentation pack and t shirts be available ?
Where are you located in regards to the tender area?
Thanks so much
October 29, 2019 at 9:27 pm
Everthing will be available at the brewery, also from Studio 52 where the merchandise can be bought if the brewery is not open. Beer can always be bought in the local pubs and hotels such as Victory Bar, Globe, Malvina House Hotel, Waterfront Hotel Narrows BAr and narrows Lounge.
October 28, 2019 at 11:34 am
Hi Jeff, I served on the Hermes in ’82 (RN Marine Engineer) then had one of the best stints abroad when I got posted to Navy Point the following year (just across the water). We made ourselves a bar / disco / coffee lounge on a fuel barge at NP with an unbelievable amount of alcohol that kept getting sent over from the wonderful folk of Blighty. I also looked after two pigs, “Olympus & Tyne” over there. As there weren’t much else to visit at that time we had to make do with homemade! So glad to hear your brewery is thriving down there. Whenever the time comes to revisit The Falklands I will endevour to visit and sample your brews. Best of luck and best wishes to all on the island. Gary
October 29, 2019 at 9:31 pm
Always good to hear from veterans from the conflict and people who have served in the Falklands. I look forward to seeing you in my little bar one day to talk about what it was like back then. I was only 6 during the conflict but still remember it like it was yesterday.
November 2, 2019 at 9:41 am
Hi, we will be landing on the 21st December and must come to visit. Will the brewery be open? I think we are coming in shore Saturday and Sunday. We have a gift from our local brewery Brewdog. 😊
November 2, 2019 at 9:41 am
Sorry my name is Lorraine…..
November 7, 2019 at 12:34 am
Hi Lorraine, yes the brewery will be open on 21st, although the tap room may not be fully complete and some works my still be going on outside. Please come in and say high, I can then tell you the best place to go to have luch and enjoy a good beer.
November 30, 2019 at 1:39 am
You must come and visit. My brewery tasting room is not complete yet, but I should be around somewhere and you can come and have look around the brewery. Try and message me and I can attempt to meet you.
December 3, 2019 at 11:57 am
Hey, we are coming mid January, can we bring you anything ‘beer related’ from Canada?
December 21, 2019 at 6:06 pm
Happy to trade a t-shirt for one from your local brewery. I’m a size L.
November 29, 2019 at 9:42 pm
Would love to be able to get your beer in the UK even if it is an expensive parcel! Any chance? Love trying your beer in Malvinas House and other local cafes particularly your Rock Hopper as I am not normally a fan of blonde beers but yours is an exception! Regards
November 30, 2019 at 1:30 am
Thanks for your kind words, I always appreciate people that understand real ales and I try to keep my process as simple and traditional as I can. In the beers you have been drinking, I can confrim that it is just the raw ingredients without any additives to clear the yeast. The complete process is entirly natural. Malted barley, wheat, water, hops and yeast.
Ok the only way to get a pacel to the UK would be to use DHL. This is expencive, a case of 12 would weight 10Kg but i do not know what that would cost to send.
December 21, 2019 at 5:20 pm
Hi. We are coming to Stanley tomorrow morning. Are you interested in trading a couple of new Brewdog Beer t-shirts for yours? We have beer mats and a new bottle opener too. We are from Aberdeen in Scotland and this is where Brewdog originates (well 20 miles away).
December 21, 2019 at 6:00 pm
Hi, happy to trade t-shirts. I should be doing some bottling at the brewery tomorrow, so come in and say hello. Please ignore the madness in my to be tasting room. It is work in progress.
What size are you for the t -shirt so I can have it ready? I am a size large – medium.
December 22, 2019 at 10:52 am
Hello again. We would take a medium and xl. I’m a wee fatty. Lol
January 7, 2020 at 11:07 pm
I tried and enjoyed several of your Black Tarn on the G Adventures MV Expedition. Unfortunately they didn’t have any of your other products available / and someone law drank the Black Tarn before I could.
At least I got one of the T Shirts.
(Gabore said he would be getting some more next time the ship was in Port Stanley.)
Kamloops, British Columbia
February 3, 2020 at 1:22 am
Pleased that you enjoyed the beer on MS Expedition. I guess Gabor never ordered enough if you only got to try Black Tarn. Maybe next time you are around this part of the world you can visit the Falklands and try them all.
January 28, 2020 at 8:36 pm
I collect beer labels from around the UK and the world, and a selection of your Falkland beer labels would be the ultimate labels. Would it be possible to send some through to the UK, I’m happy to cover the postage & packing via PayPal. Please PM me many thanks.

August 2, 2020 at 8:10 am
Hi can I get Falkland beer here in the UK or can it be sent ?
August 2, 2020 at 12:34 pm
Sorry, but it is just to far and logistically difficult to send beer from here to the UK.
I also can’t post liquids in the mail.
August 22, 2020 at 12:55 am
Could you ship me soap or a t-shirt? I work for Lumberyard Brewing Company in Flagstaff, AZ. Roaming the internet and found your brewery. Awesome man. Hope you are doing well.

February 10, 2022 at 2:43 am
Sorry Stephen, I am still not shipping.
January 8, 2021 at 7:35 pm
I am interested in purchasing one of your pint glasses, with logo, and several of your beer mats. My husband collected both. I would like to surprise him!
January 12, 2021 at 9:23 pm
I have sent you an email
February 12, 2021 at 5:34 pm
Hi there, I visited the Falklands in October 2019 on the MV Expedition and drank a lot of your Rockhopper beer in Stanley and on board the ship after they got some on board – great beer really enjoyed it …. but…. and here’s the problem … I forgot to keep one of the bottle tops for my collection. Is there any way you can send me one or two ?
February 10, 2022 at 2:41 am
Sorry for the slow response…. A year I know…. My bottle tops are not unique and have no identification on them so of no real value to collectors.
April 4, 2021 at 12:31 am
Visiting Stanley 31 December 2021 on Diamond Princess. Be my second trip since 7 January 1990 on Royal Princess. A T-shirt is a MUST to wrap a bottle or two of London Pride to savor at a later date with a Waikiki sunset.
May 21, 2021 at 1:28 pm
Jeff, I am including you in a book I am writing about world beer. Could you let me know the malts and hops used in each beer and where the brewing kit came from. Many thanks,
October 21, 2021 at 6:23 pm
When do you do tasting evenings at the Brewery?
October 22, 2021 at 1:32 am
I don’t do tasting evenings as such, but the bar is open every second Friday from 2 until 8:30 and Saturday from 12 until 2. I always have 3 fresh barrels of cask beer on to choose from. I will add that it is always very busy from 4:30 on a Friday, so it is not so good for a tasting experience but good if you like a busy small bar. Hope to see you there one day. Friday 22nd the bar is open.
February 3, 2022 at 1:12 pm
Please let me know how to order your beer and receive them at home.
April 14, 2022 at 1:27 am
It is not possible to send beer overseas from the Falklands unless you are willing to pay an awful lot of money by using DHL courier service.
February 9, 2022 at 11:02 am
Hi Jeff – are you likely to be around any time next monday? I’d like to grab a couple of bottles and a t-shirt before I fly out if possible. I’m on the ferry back from the West in the morning so should be in Stanley around lunchtime. Thanks!
February 10, 2022 at 2:36 am
I can meet you at 12 on Monday. Cheers
